The new functionalities are:

• New installation process: you can select which countries you want to active and which categories and subcategories you want to enabled. In addition a large range of regions and cities are now loaded by default.
• Item validation by e-mail to help avoid spammers and bots.
• “Send to a friend” option added.
• New permalinks! More seo-friendly.
• Notifications: Now you can choose different types of notifications from the administration panel. For example when you post a new item.
• New login page for the administration panel.
• Ability to enable or disable comments, item validation and recaptcha in post item.
• Google Analytics plugin updated to use asynchronous snippet.
• Other minor bugs fixed.

In addition we are currently awaiting our first RC which is set for launch over the coming days.

All the classes and functions remain undocumented, but I’m working to solve that.

This is still a gamma release, that means we still have things to improve and features to add before a release candidate.

Remember a release candidate is supposed to be a version with no substantial changes, and we are waiting to the right moment.

Some new features included in this release:

• Support for currencies
• RSS Feed working
• Email customisation

• New themes and languages (some of them contributed by you!)

So, if you are creating a translation or a theme let us know and we will help you to complete the task promptly for deadline.

Just to mention a few improvements from alpha version:

• Improved tables with CRUD (Create/Remove/Update/Delete)
• Vertical items. It means you can create categories with special fields (like it happens with cars, houses, jobs)
• New themes (default_new, tauler_cat)
• New plugins: Post to Twitter and Google Maps!
• User registration and profile
• Sitemap and Feed XML generation
• And a lot more!

The next big announce is gonna be in a quarter. Yes, 15th of march we’ll publish the awaited RC1! Before that, why don’t contribute with a theme or a translation?
