We are happy to announce that we are rolling out new features that are available in google code (subversion). However, for them to work correctly you must install the OSClass again as the update is not currently working.
The new functionalities are:
- New installation process: you can select which countries you want to active and which categories and subcategories you want to enabled. In addition a large range of regions and cities are now loaded by default.
- Item validation by e-mail to help avoid spammers and bots.
- “Send to a friend” option added.
- New permalinks! More seo-friendly.
- Notifications: Now you can choose different types of notifications from the administration panel. For example when you post a new item.
- New login page for the administration panel.
- Ability to enable or disable comments, item validation and recaptcha in post item.
- Google Analytics plugin updated to use asynchronous snippet.
- Other minor bugs fixed.
In addition we are currently awaiting our first RC which is set for launch over the coming days.
Again, we encourage you to use our bug tracking system and forum for any comments, opinons, or problems you happen to encounter.

Nice to see some new functionalities after a long time of inactivity.

@Mikou.NET: Thanks, I will contact you about french translation. What you mean with French community? Can you explain in more detail?
Cheers,
@Juan Ramón : First I’m the one how translated the last version into French so I can easy modify any new requirement.
I mean by the community : A forum for French users, a Fan group, a French blog to but the news, or anything can help French users.
Thank you
@Mikou.NET: we’ll keep in touch about the french community. For now, we only have english community but in a near future maybe.
@Juan Ramón : OK
I’m having problems installing this SVN version. Installer won’t run since it’s lookign for files.
This URL http://localhost/~conejo/osclass/oc-installer/ (this worked on the delta1 version)
redirects to : http://localhost/home/conejo/public_html/osclass/oc-installer/
Not sure why.
http://localhost/~conejo/osclass/oc-installer/index.php works, but it get stuck creating the DB (it creates it, but it doesn’t go to the next step- keeps loading).
New functionalities looks great so I want to give it a try!
@_CONEJO: The redirect was a .htaccess problem. I repaired and upload to svn. If you do a checkout it will works well
About the DB problem it works fine to me. It’s slow but at the end installs correctly. Is it happening to more people?
